The Nifty futures closed positive at the 14,860 level with a gain of 0.61%. Among the specific stocks, Nalco, NMDC, SAIL, Tata Steel NSE 7.40%, Vedanta, Hindalco, Glenmark, JSW Steel, Muthoot Finance NSE 3.55%, LIC Housing NSE 2.57%, Bajaj Finserv NSE 2.63%, and trading boom. McDowell but weaker in SRF, Deepak Nitrite, Jubilant Foodworks, PEL, Federal Bank, MRF, and M&M Finance.
The Nifty opened on Friday with a margin above the 14,800 level and consolidated over a wide range of 100 points through the session. It continued its positive streak for a third consecutive season and traded above 50 DMA. The index closed positive with a gain of nearly 100 points and remained at a high level for the fourth consecutive season.
The bank opened with a Nifty gain but fell below its initial level. Banking stocks are facing pressure and as a result, the index tested a level of 32,750. It closed flat with a positive gain of about 80 points but formed a bearish candle on a daily scale with the closing below the initial level. The index is now seen to rise above the level of 32,750 to 33,333 and 33,500, while the downside is the support at the 32,500 and 32,250 levels.
Optimism about the rally on Wall Street and the U.S. Asian stocks rose on Friday about an economic rebound in the US, as investors awaited the release of jobs data.
Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 gained 0.3% to 29,414.00 in morning trade. Australia’s S&P / ASX 200 rose 0.3% to 7,085.80, while South Korea’s Kospi rose 0.7% to 3,9999.99 points. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 0.7% to 28,838.83, while the Shanghai Composite rose 0.4% to 3,454.15.
He bounced back the S&P 500 from an opening slide, adding 34.03 points to 4,201.62. The index is on track for an eighth weekly gain in the last 10 weeks. The Dow rose 0.9% to 34,548.19. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.4% to close at 13,632.84. The tech-heavy index was down 1.1% in the opening round.
The Russell 2000 index of smaller companies also recovered from a stumble to an essentially flat finish, adding 0.1% to 2,241.42. In energy trade, the benchmark U.S. crude added 18 cents to $ 64.89 a barrel. Internationally, Brent crude rose 19 cents to $ 68.28 a barrel.
In currency trading, the US dollar was flat at $ 109.16 Japanese Yen. The euro costs $ 1.2066, up from $ 1.2047.
