JSW Neo Acquires 150 MW Tidong Hydro Plant

JSW Neo Energy Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed an agreement to acquire 100% shares of Tidong Power Generation Private Limited from Statkraft IH Holding AS. The deal requires regulatory approvals.

Tidong Power is developing a 150 MW run-of-river hydro plant in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh. The project has a 22-year PPA for 75 MW and untied capacity of 75 MW for merchant sales.

Post-acquisition, JSW Energy’s locked-in generation capacity reaches 30.5 GW, including 1.8 GW hydro. The company targets 30 GW generation, 40 GWh storage by FY2030, and carbon neutrality by 2050.
