In line with this tradition, Muhurat Trading is a special one-hour session held on Diwali evening during Laxmi Pujan, symbolizing the start of the new Samvat year.

Significance of Muhurat Trading

This session is a symbolic one-hour window where the BSE and NSE are open, allowing investors to trade stocks, futures, and options. Muhurat Trading this year marks the beginning of Samvat 2081. While it is mainly ceremonial, it holds great cultural importance for investors in India.

Muhurat Trading Schedule

In 2024, Muhurat Trading will take place on Friday, November 1, from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm. A pre-open session of 15 minutes will also be conducted. Trades made during this session are settled on the same day.
