The process for selling shares without a Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction(DDPI) is as follows:
Step 1: Log in to EDIS Platform.
Step 2: Enter your “BO ID.”
Step 3: Enter your “PAN Number.”
Step 4: Fill in the displayed “Captcha.”
Step 5: Enter the OTP sent to your registered Mobile Number and Email Address.
Step 6: You will receive the TPIN via Email or SMS.
Step 7: Authorize the share sale using the received “T-PIN” and proceed to sell the shares.

Stock Brokers can accept securities as margin from clients only by way of pledge in the depository system w.e.f. September 1, 2020. Update your mobile number & email Id with your stock broker/depository participant and receive OTP directly from the depository on your email id and/or mobile number to create a pledge. Pay 20% upfront margin of the transaction early to trade in the cash market segment.
