What is the meaning of share transmission?

Share transmission is the process of transferring shares to the legal heir(s) following the shareholder’s death. This procedure is a legal obligation, in contrast to the voluntary nature of share transfers. The transmission involves submitting necessary documents to the company for the legal transfer of shares to the entitled legal heir(s).

Upon the registration of share transmission, the legal heir(s) entitled to the transferred shares assume the status of a shareholder in the company. They gain access to all associated rights and are bound by the corresponding liabilities of a shareholder.
