Bajaj Housing Finance’s IPO became the most subscribed in Indian history, surpassing all previous records. With bids totaling ₹3.24 lakh crore, the demand far exceeded expectations. Bajaj’s strong business performance and nearly 100-year legacy have built investor trust, contributing to the unprecedented success of the ₹6,560 crore IPO.

This IPO success broke the previous record set by Coal India in 2008, which received ₹2.36 lakh crore in bids. Bajaj Housing Finance’s historic subscription reflects the immense interest in the brand and its strong financials. Premier Energies also attracted significant attention in 2024, with bids nearing ₹1.5 lakh crore.

In a similar vein, in November 2023, IREDA launched its initial public offering (IPO) with a price band of ₹30 to ₹32 per equity share. The PSU stock was listed at ₹50 apiece on both the BSE and NSE, delivering around a 56% gain upon listing. The bullish momentum in IREDA shares continued, with the stock reaching a new peak of ₹310 apiece on the NSE.

Currently, IREDA’s share price is available at around ₹230 per share, reflecting an impressive gain of over 600% from its upper price band of ₹32 apiece. This performance highlights the significant returns investors have enjoyed since the IPO, making IREDA a standout in the PSU sector.
