Upcoming Trading Holiday & Settlement Holiday Update 

Trading & Settlement holiday on 31 March 2025 on account of Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramzan Eid) and Settlement holiday on 1st April 2025 on account of Annual Bank Closing. 

Please note the following changes due to this: 

Update for 31st March 2025 

• Equity, F&O, and Currency markets will be closed for trading.

• The commodity markets will be closed for the first half, and the evening session will open from 5 PM onwards. 

Update for 1st April 2025 

• Equity and F&O markets are open for trading on 1st April 2025. 

• The Currency segment will be closed for trading on 1st April 2025. 

Effects on Settlement and Funds: 

• There will be no payout for clients on 31st March and 1st April 2025. 
• All the segment trade profits made on 28th March 2025 will not be available on 31st March and 1st April 2025. 
• The stock purchased on 28th March 2025 will not be allowed to be sold on 31st March and 1st April 2025. 

An Informative Update! 

Settlement holidays refer to days when markets are open for trading, but the settlement of trades does not happen as per the usual cycle because either the depositaries or banks are closed on that day. 

On the other hand, trading holidays refer to days when markets are closed, and no trading or investing occurs on that day, and settlements also do not happen.
