To close your account, you need to follow the online process as per regulatory guidelines:

Steps:
1 – Log in to BOT Portal

2 – Navigate to the Account Closure section

3 – Fill in the required details and reason for closure

4 – Submit your request for processing

Ensure all dues are cleared and no holdings remain in your Demat account before initiating closure.

Yes, you can temporarily freeze your account through the ANT application.

1 – Open the ANT App

2 – Go to Profile – Under Security

3 – Choose the option to freeze & unfreeze status.

1 – Open the ANT App

2 – Go to Profile – Under Security

3 – Choose the option to freeze & unfreeze status.

Step 1: Visit https://bot.aliceblueonline.com
Step 2: Log in using your ANT Application ID and Password.
Step 3: Click on the menu icon in the upper-right corner and select Account Closure.
Step 4: Choose Request for Account Closure, then click Continue and select Proceed with Closure.
Step 5: Under Select Closure For, choose Closure cum Shifting.
Step 6: Select the destination depository participant type (NSDL or CDSL) based on your destination broker.
Step 7:Enter the Destination DP ID and Client ID.

Click on Upload and attach a valid Client Master Report (CMR) Copy of the destination account, duly signed and stamped by the destination broker.

After uploading the document, click Submit Request for Account Closure.

Step 8: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number to complete and submit the request successfully.

Important Note:
Please ensure that the destination DP ID, Client ID, and CMR copy details are accurate. Any discrepancy may result in rejection or delay of the account closure-cum-shifting request.
