Bharti Hexacom’s stock debuted impressively, opening at ₹755 on the NSE and ₹755.20 on the BSE, exceeding its ₹570 issue price by over 32.5%. This outperformed market expectations, which had predicted an opening between ₹650-660 per share.
During its three-day IPO, Bharti Hexacom saw robust demand, with a 29.88 times overall subscription. QIBs led with a 48.57 times subscription, while NIIs and retail investors also showed strong interest.
Bharti Hexacom, under the Airtel brand, provides mobile and fixed-line services in Rajasthan and Northeast India. It leads in Northeast with a 52.7% revenue share and is second in Rajasthan. Investment has reached INR 206 billion, boosting its ARPU from INR 135 to ₹197.
The main objective of Bharti Hexacom’s IPO is to enjoy the benefits of listing the share on the stock exchange and to build a brand reputation. As this is an offer for sale, the company will not raise any funds.
