Engineers India Ltd, a Navratna PSU, experienced a 2.58% share price drop to Rs 262.75, with a 42.71% decrease in Q4 net profit to Rs 90.93 crore. Despite this, the company’s stock has delivered a 151% return over the past year.
Meanwhile, NBCC India reported a 25% increase in Q4 profits, rising to Rs 141.5 crore from Rs 113.6 crore year-over-year. Revenue surged 43% to Rs 4,025 crore from Rs 2,814 crore. Despite these gains, the Navratna stock closed 4.31% lower at Rs 138.80.
The company’s market capitalization remained at Rs 24,984 crore. NBCC shares have experienced a significant rise, surging 231.26% over the past year and gaining 69.70% in 2024, although the stock demonstrated volatility with a beta of 1.3.
Transaction activity was brisk with 9.02 lakh shares traded, resulting in a turnover of Rs 11.68 crore. On the operational front, EBITDA for the quarter increased to Rs 240.2 crore from Rs 104.5 crore in Q4 FY23, improving the EBITDA margin to 6%.
Over the fiscal year, NBCC’s net profit rose to Rs 401.55 crore, up from Rs 266.66 crore in the previous year. Operational income also grew to Rs 10,432.63 crore, up from Rs 8,876.36 crore.
