Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for projects and tourist attractions worth ₹284 crore during his visit to the Statue of Unity in Gujarat on October 30 and 31. This visit aligns with the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations in Ekta Nagar, located in the Narmada district.

Key projects include a new sub-district hospital, developed at a cost of ₹22 crore, featuring a trauma center, operating theaters, CT scan, ICU, and various medical facilities. Modi will also unveil smart bus stops and two ICU-on-wheels, enhancing healthcare services in the area.
Additionally, the development includes traffic management improvements, with ₹2.58 crore allocated for new traffic circles, push-button pedestrian crossings, car charging points, and a running track for the State Reserve Police personnel. The inauguration will feature 24 sculptures created by renowned artists, enhancing the visual appeal of Ekta Nagar.
A 4 MW solar project, developed for ₹23.26 crore, will be inaugurated to promote renewable energy. Furthermore, Modi will lay the foundation for a ₹75 crore sewage treatment plant to manage waste disposal for around 4,000 homes and hospitality establishments.
The visit will also include plans for the Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Centre and a bonsai garden focused on sustainable development. In light of recent floods, the protection wall near the Cactus Garden will be extended, and land levels in the hospitality district will be raised to prevent future flooding.
