Tata Motors Shares Decline After JLR Suspends US Shipments:
Tata Motors shares hit their lower circuit after Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), its UK-based subsidiary, announced a temporary suspension of vehicle shipments to the United States for the month of April 2025.
The decision follows the recent imposition of a 25% import tariff on foreign vehicles by the US administration. JLR has no manufacturing facilities in the US and relies completely on exports to serve the American automotive market.
