What is the process for converting my Demat account to a Basic Services Demat Account (BSDA) with Alice Blue?

The BSDA Demat Account was introduced primarily to reduce maintenance fees for small investors. All the individuals who have or propose to have “Only one Demat account” where they are the sole or first holder shall be eligible to have a BSDA provided that the value of securities held in the Demat account does not exceed Rupees 2,00,000 at any point in time.

Here are the Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) for BSDA Accounts:

  • Holding Value up to ₹ 50,000: No AMC
  • Holding Value ₹ 50,000 to ₹ 2,00,000: ₹ 100
  • Holding Value above ₹ 2,00,000: ₹ 400

To activate the BSDA facility, you need to provide 2 sets of duly signed Declaration Form and Tariff Sheet.

  • If your first Demat account with Alice Blue qualifies for BSDA and AMC charges are levied, please raise a ticket to the support desk for further assistance.
