What is the reason for split shares not being visible in my holdings?

When a stock undergoes a split, it may take up to two working days from the ex-date/record date for the new shares to be credited to the demat account. During this time, they won’t be visible. The P&L may show an artificial decrease in profits or an increase in losses until the new shares are credited. If the split shares haven’t been credited after four days from the record date, further inquiry may be necessary.
