What is Invested Value and Present Value?

  • When making a purchase, the total amount spent is referred to as the Invested Value.

E.g., on 2nd Jan 2023, if you purchased 10 shares of “Axis Bank” at Rs. 950 each, Rs. 9,500 would be your invested value.

  • The Present Value is calculated based on the most recent closing price.

E.g., if you’re reviewing the holding value on 31st Jan 2023, then the closing price on 30th Jan 2023 for “Axis Bank” was “LTP: Rs. 1000” (Last Traded Price). The Present Value is calculated based on this LTP.

Thus, your Present Value for Axis Bank would be 10 shares @ Rs. 1000 LTP, which equals Rs. 10,000.
