TARIL acquires controlling stake:

Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd has signed a Share Purchase and Shareholders’ Agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Posco Poggenamp Electrical Steel Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of CRGO steel laminations for transformers.

The acquisition aims to integrate the company’s processed CRGO steel requirements and will boost its EBITDA margins by 100-150 basis points. This will help TARIL serve external customers, thus generating revenue and enhance its transformer production capabilities.

Posco Poggenamp, which manufactures high-quality CRGO steel for power and distribution transformers, will be a strategic addition to TARIL’s business. The agreement remains confidential regarding the size, but the acquisition is expected to be completed within 7 days.
