Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman wrapped up pre-budget consultations on July 5, after discussions that began on June 19. Over 120 representatives from various sectors including agriculture, education, and finance, shared insights to shape the FY25 Union Budget.

Scheduled for July 23, Sitharaman will present her seventh Union Budget and the first full one post the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This significant event, marking the commencement of the Modi government’s third term, will be broadcast across various digital platforms.

The consultations featured prominent officials including MoS for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Finance Secretary Dr. TV Somanathan, focusing on critical economic sectors to steer India towards a developed status by 2047.

President Droupadi Murmu highlighted in her Parliament address last month, that the budget will introduce historic economic reforms, setting a transformative agenda for India’s future.
