    Tata Motors Limited was initially incorporated as Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Limited on June 23, 2024 as a public limited company with the Registrar of Companies, Mumbai. Pursuant to the Scheme, fresh certificate of incorporation for change of name 'TML Commercial Vehicles Limited' to 'Tata Motors Limited' was issued by Registrar of Companies on October 29, 2025. Prior to the Scheme becoming effective, Company was a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited. The Company was incorporated with the main object of our Company is to carry on the business of design, development, manufacturing and sale of commercial vehicles. As per Composite Scheme of Arrangement between the Company, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPVL), Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (TMLCVL) and their respective shareholders was implemented in FY 2025, where, the Commercial Vehicle (CV) Business has been demerged from the Passenger Vehicles Business into a new entity, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (TMLCV), as a going concern, w.e..f. July 1, 2025 and the Scheme of Demerger became effective from October 1, 2025. After the demerger was completed, 3,68,23,31,373 equity shares of face value of Rs 2 each were issued by the Company pursuant to the Composite Scheme of Arrangement. Commercial Vehicle Business is one of India's leading CV manufacturers offering a wide range of products and services portfolio catering to cargo and public mobility segments. It is engaged in the business of design, development, manufacturing and distribution of commercial vehicles (SCVs and Pickups, Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles, Intermediate and Light Commercial Vehicles and CV Passenger Vehicles) manufactured under the Tata and Daewoo brands along with associated service, spare parts, digital and other related businesses. In FY 2025-26, TMF Holdings Limited and TMF Business Services Limited have been amalgamated with the Company through the Scheme of Amalgamation. Pursuant to the Composite Scheme of Arrangement, the Company accepted the transfer of the outstanding Non-Convertible Debentures aggregating to Rs 2300 crore, together with all rights, obligations and liabilities from the Demerged Company viz. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (Formerly Tata Motors Limited). The Company acquired 26% stake in Traveltime E-Mobility Chennai Private Limited (TECPL) by TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary (WOS) of the Company on January 12, 2026 and TECPL became an associate of the Company in FY26. AIEQU Mobility Limited was incorporated on January 19, 2026 as a WOS of the Company.

    Tata Motors edges higher after announcing plans to drive next phase of growth

    Tata Motors added 2.67% to Rs 411 after the company shared a positive outlook for the financial year 2028, at its investor day that was held yesterday (23 June 2026).

    The company said it had already achieved several of its FY2027 targets ahead of schedule, including margin improvement, cash generation and strengthening its leadership position in heavy commercial vehicles. The company aspires to be the fourth largest global player in the commercial vehicles market after the mega Iveco acquisition. Tata Motors CV further said that now it will focus on three strategic pillars: strengthening its domestic business, scaling new growth engines and pursuing a global pivot. The commercial vehicle maker has estimated that its domestic commercial vehicle market share will be 40% in financial year 2028, with margins consistently in double-digits throughout the cycle. During the upcycle, the company expects margins to reach the mid-teens, with investments rising to about 2%'4% of revenue. By FY28, Tata Motors CV targets free cash flow of 7%'9% of revenue, while Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) is expected to improve to 30%'35% following the Iveco deal. The company also noted that it has reduced risk through expansion into digital and downstream services, with demand supported by VAHAN-linked market data. Additionally, growth in its non-cyclical business is projected to be around 1.5 times faster than its cyclical business.     Tata Motors bags contracts for supplying over 3,400 e-commercial vehicles

    Tata Motors has secured orders for over 3,400 electric commercial vehicles across small commercial vehicles, trucks and buses, marking one of the largest recent order wins in India's electric commercial mobility segment.

    The orders include around 2,000 electric small commercial vehicle (eSCVs) and pick-ups, 900 electric trucks and 500 electric buses, with deployments spanning e-commerce, logistics, FMCG and FMCD distribution, mining, cement, steel and passenger transport applications. The scale and diversity of the order pipeline suggest that fleet operators are increasingly moving from trial projects to full-scale integration of electric vehicles into core operations. Over the past 12 months, Tata Motors stated that it has significantly strengthened its electric commercial vehicle portfolio, introducing a new generation of eCVs tailored to varied duty cycles and operating conditions. Alongside product development, Tata Motors has taken an ecosystem-led approach to support adoption at scale. This includes a growing charging network through partnerships with 14 charge point operators, EV-focused financing solutions with leading banks and NBFCs, advanced fleet management through Fleet Edge, and comprehensive uptime assurance programmes.     Tata Motors' total CV sales climb 17% YoY to 32,850 units in May'26

    Tata Motors reported a 17% jump in total commercial vehicle (CV) sales to 32,850 units in May 2026 compared with 28,147 units sold in May 2025.

    Sales of heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) trucks surged 11% YoY to 7,877 units in May 2026, while intermediate, light, and medium commercial vehicle (ILMCV) truck sales rose 8% YoY to 5,454 units. Passenger carrier sales rose 21% YoY to 5,757 units, while SCV cargo and pickup sales jumped 30% YoY to 11,819 units during May 2026 over the year-ago period. Total domestic CV sales increased 19% YoY to 30,784 units in May 2026. Domestic MH&ICV sales declined 10% to 13,679 units in May 2026 from 12,406 units in May 2025.     Tata Motors clocks PAT of Rs 1,793 crore in Q4; board OKs final dividend of Rs 4/share

    Tata Motors has reported 33.81% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,793 crore on a 19.37% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 26,098 crore in Q4 FY26 as compared with Q4 FY25.

    Total expenditure for the period under review was Rs 24,134, up 18.64% YoY. Profit before tax in Q4 FY26 stood at Rs 2,623 crore, up by 64.8% from Rs 1,592 crore in Q4 FY25. For FY26, the company has recorded net profit and revenue from operations of Rs 3,030 crore (down 5.2% YoY) and Rs 83,855 crore (up 44% YoY), respectively. The company's board of directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 4 per share for FY26, subject to approval by the shareholders. Girish Wagh, MD & CEO, Tata Motors, said: 'FY26 marked a clear inflection point for the commercial vehicles industry, with volumes surpassing the pre-FY19 peak, supported by GST 2.0 reforms and sustained infrastructure spending.     Tata Motors' total CV sales jump 28% YoY in April 2026

    Tata Motors reported a 28% year-on-year (YoY) increase in total commercial vehicle (CV) sales to 34,833 units in April 2026, compared with 27,221 units in April 2025.

    Sales of heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) trucks climbed 23.4% YoY to 8,969 units in April 2026, while intermediate, light, and medium commercial vehicle (ILMCV) truck sales surged 16.5% YoY to 5,454 units. Passenger carrier sales rose 22.6% YoY to 5,743 units, while SCV cargo and pickup sales jumped 40.2% YoY to 12,799 units during April 2026 over the year-ago period. Total domestic CV sales increased 27.9% YoY to 32,965 units in April 2026. Domestic MH&ICV sales rose 20.5% YoY to 14,565 units in April 2026 from 12,093 units in April 2025.
