KPI Green Energy Signs 445 MW BESS Deal

Sun Drops Energia Limited, a subsidiary of KPI Green Energy Limited, executed a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for standalone BESS projects.

The agreement covers development, ownership, and operation of 445 MW / 890 MWh BESS projects at multiple locations in Gujarat. The capacity will be supplied to GUVNL long-term.

The BESPA follows a tariff-based competitive bidding process under Phase-VII, supported by Viability Gap Funding through the Power System Development Fund. This marks the first utility-scale IPP BESS project for the group.
