On February 13, 2026, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd opened at ₹288.40, down 1.82% from its previous close of ₹293.75. The stock reached a high of ₹294.00 (0.09%) and a low of ₹288.40. By 10:54 AM, it traded at ₹291.00, down 0.94%, with a market cap of ₹2,70,647.57 crore.

POWERGRID Acquires BDPTL

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited acquired Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Limited on February 12, 2026 under tariff based competitive bidding. The project will be executed on a build, own, operate and transfer basis.

The project includes a 400 kV double circuit transmission line in Karnataka. It also covers line bays and augmentation works at Davanagere and Bellary pooling stations.

POWERGRID acquired 100% stake in the SPV for about Rs 13.02 crore through cash consideration. The entity was incorporated on September 25, 2025 and has not started commercial operations.
