SEPC Reports Neutral Financial Impact
SEPC Limited acknowledged an interim order from the Hon’ble High Court of Madras dated February 19, 2026, related to ongoing litigation with GPE (India) Ltd and other parties.
The Court ordered interim attachment of trade receivables worth ₹154.63 crore from total reported receivables of ₹449.62 crore. This measure is intended to ensure a time-bound resolution of the dispute.
PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) has been appointed by the Court to conduct a focused audit of SEPC’s financial records. The audit will determine amounts owed to banks and financial institutions and available assets.
The PWC audit report is expected to be submitted by March 23, 2026. SEPC is fully cooperating with the audit team to ensure timely completion and eventual release of attached assets.
SEPC’s financial exposure is mitigated by a 2015 indemnity agreement with co-respondent Twarit Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd, which covers all liabilities and costs arising from the litigation, including the current claim.
The dispute traces back to a 2010 agreement and a subsequent 2015 agreement, leading to default claims in 2017. SEPC remains a going concern and continues full compliance with SEBI listing guidelines.
