Wipro’s board will discuss a potential bonus share issue during meetings on October 16-17, 2024, coinciding with the announcement of its Q2 FY25 results. The company previously reported a 4.6% increase in net profit and a 3.8% revenue decline in Q1.

The Bengaluru-based IT giant posted a consolidated net profit of ₹3,003.2 crore in the June-ended quarter, reflecting year-on-year growth. However, its revenue dropped to ₹21,963.8 crore during the same period, marking a decline of 3.8%.

Wipro CEO Srini Pallia expressed confidence in achieving better performance in Q2, focusing on improving bookings and profitable growth. He emphasised the company’s continued efforts toward its ai360 strategy and preparing its workforce for an AI-driven future.

Wipro’s shares closed at ₹528.95 on the BSE and ₹528.45 on the NSE on Friday, showing a slight increase of 0.77% and 0.03%, respectively, from the previous close. The company’s Q2 results are highly anticipated alongside the potential bonus share issuance.
