Swiggy unveiled its ‘XL’ fleet for bulk orders on Saturday, targeting large-scale deliveries. The introduction of this service follows closely on the heels of their new 10-minute meal and beverage delivery service ‘Bolt’, which is available in selected cities.
The Swiggy XL fleet was tested in Gurugram, debuting officially on the day of the Haryana Assembly elections. To mark the launch, Swiggy’s XL EVs delivered 3,500 meals free of cost to electoral officials at over 580 polling booths in Gurugram and Badshahpur.

Sidharth Bhakoo, National Business Head of Swiggy Food Marketplace, commented on the launch’s significance. He highlighted how Swiggy’s services boost the F&B sector by fostering new dining occasions, broadening the consumer base, and encouraging supply diversity.
Also, it is noted that the timing of the launch is during the festive season, when gatherings are frequent and celebrations call for substantial meals. The Swiggy XL service is designed to ensure that large orders are delivered seamlessly during such events, enhancing the joy of group celebrations.

Finally, the XL fleet’s effectiveness was demonstrated as 20 Swiggy XL EVs managed three significant meal deliveries: dinner on October 4 and breakfast and lunch on October 5. Plans are underway to expand this service to additional cities soon.
