The Strategy Configuration section defines the internal parameters and settings required for creating and executing a trading strategy on the platform. It acts as the core setup area where users configure all essential components that determine how a strategy behaves under different market conditions.
This section enables users to precisely control various aspects of a strategy, including instrument selection, strategy type, trade execution logic, and risk management parameters.
Key capabilities of the Strategy Configuration section include:
• Selecting the trading instrument (e.g., indices, stocks, commodities)
• Defining the strategy type (Intraday, BTST, Positional) based on trading duration
• Choosing the appropriate builder type (Leg Builder, Technical Indicator Builder, Custom Strategy)
• Configuring entry and exit conditions based on predefined rules or indicators
• Setting risk management parameters such as Target Profit, Stop Loss, and Trailing Stop Loss
• Managing position sizing and trade execution settings
• Supporting multi-leg strategies for advanced trading setups
This section provides the flexibility to design both simple and complex strategies, allowing users to align their trading logic with market behavior and risk tolerance.
Note: This section ensures that strategies are structured, rule-based, and fully automated, enabling efficient execution and better control.
The Instrument section allows users to select the underlying asset on which the trading strategy will be executed. This is a critical step, as the behavior, volatility, and performance of a strategy are directly influenced by the chosen instrument.
Users can choose from a wide range of supported instruments, including:
• NIFTY 50
• BANKNIFTY
• SENSEX
• MCX Natural Gas
• Other supported indices, stocks, and commodities
The selected instrument determines key factors such as price movement, liquidity, lot size, and trading session timings, which in turn impact strategy execution and outcomes.
Note: Strategies can be created across multiple market segments, including Cash (Equity), NFO (NSE Futures & Options), BFO (BSE Futures & Options), and MCX (Commodities).
The Strategy Type section allows users to define the duration and execution style of their trading strategy. Selecting the appropriate strategy type is essential, as it determines how long positions are held, how risk is managed, and how the strategy responds to market movements.
Users can choose from the following predefined strategy types:
• Intraday
Trades are executed and squared off within the same trading day. This type is suitable for short-term strategies that aim to capture quick price movements while avoiding overnight risk.
• BTST (Buy Today, Sell Tomorrow)
Positions are initiated on one trading day and carried overnight to be exited on the next trading day. This approach is useful for capturing short-term trends or gap movements between trading sessions.
• Positional
Trades are held for multiple days or longer durations. This type is ideal for strategies based on broader market trends, allowing traders to benefit from sustained price movements over time.
The selected strategy type directly impacts margin requirements, risk exposure, and execution behavior, making it an important decision in the strategy configuration process.
A Builder is a no-code tool that enables users to create trading strategies step-by-step by selecting predefined options, rules, and conditions through an intuitive interface. It eliminates the need for programming knowledge by automatically converting user-defined inputs into a complete, structured, and executable trading strategy.
This section provides flexibility to design strategies ranging from simple setups to complex multi-leg or indicator-based strategies, depending on the user’s trading approach and experience level.
The platform offers three types of Builders:
• Leg Builder
• Technical Indicator Builder
• Custom Strategy Builder
Leg Builder helps users build strategies using multiple legs and define how each leg behaves, including selecting the trading instrument.

Enables users to build strategies based on technical indicators like RSI, Moving Averages, MACD, etc. It is suitable for traders who rely on indicator-driven signals for entry and exit decisions.
