Nominee Addition During Account Opening

While filling out the account opening form (online or offline), you will be given the option to add a nominee.

Steps:
·         Select “Add Nominee” during the account setup.
·         Enter the nominee’s:
o Full Name
o Date of Birth
o Relationship
o Address
o % Share (if multiple nominees)
o Email ID
o Mobile Number
o Pan number

Yes, as per SEBI regulations:
You must either:
·         Add a nominee, or
·         Explicitly opt-out by submitting a declaration form

Yes, you can:
·         Add, remove, or update nominee details anytime after account opening.
·         Changes require an eSign and may take 24 hours to reflect.

To check nominee status:
1.      Login to the BOT application.
2.      Navigate to Profile or Account Details
3.      Check the Nominee Details section to verify:
o Nominee name
o Status (Added/Not Added)
o Share percentage

Steps to Add Nominee After Account Opening:
1.      Visit: https://bot.aliceblueonline.com/ 
2.  Login with your Client Code or Email ID or Mobile Number
3.      Go to My Account →Nominee Details → Click on “Add Nominee”
4.      Enter nominee information
5.      Complete the eSign process using your Aadhaar-linked mobile number
You’ll receive confirmation once the request is processed (typically within 48 hours).

Yes, you can add up to 3 nominees.
·         You must specify the percentage share for each (total must equal 100%).
·         Example: Nominee 1 – 50%, Nominee 2 – 30%, Nominee 3 – 20%
